FirstWare IDM-Portal – Release 2020.4 with stronger performance for large enterprises
FirstAttribute publishes a new release of the FirstWare IDM-Portal. In version 2020.4, the main enhancements are performance improvements as well as improvements to connectors to third-party systems and approval processes.
The aim is to increase reliability, stability and user satisfaction. Especially in large user environments with several thousand users, the IAM solution now works even faster and more smoothly.

FirstAttribute customers will have access to the new FirstWare IDM-Portal Release 2020.4 in March 2022. Included are
- performance improvements to the automation service and PowerShell provider,
- improvements to AD connections, such as the AD-HR connector,
- enhancements in the user display for more detailed search results,
- as well as various bug fixes
The most important advantages
Better performance for stability and efficiency
Thanks to thorough restructuring and code improvements, the performance, stability and efficiency of the IDM-Portal have been expanded. As a result, important automation functions such as approval workflows and time-controlled administration run quickly and securely, especially in large companies.
The PowerShell Provider has also been updated so that the automated processes run as smoothly as possible – without affecting the user experience through waiting times. At the same time, the AD connector has been further improved with the new release. Accordingly, the AD connector runs reliably, quickly and still saves resources.
Connector to HR systems improved
Companies that use HR databases (e.g. SAP HCM) and want an efficient connection to their Active Directory will be satisfied thanks to an individually customizable AD-HR connector in the new release. Even an automated mass user creation is possible without delay. This simplifies and accelerates user administration many times over.
Optimized approval workflow
In a multi-stage approval workflow, it occasionally happens that one and the same approver is entered several times. If an approver has already approved at a previous level, he or she no longer receives a second e-mail. Instead, the current level is automatically approved. This eliminates additional, unnecessary emails and makes the workflow more efficient.
Advanced employee search
An extended display table for employees in Release 2020.4 now offers greater accuracy to the end users of IDM-Portal. In the user, group and computer search, 12 columns can now be defined instead of only 10. This gives users more information about their colleagues and makes it even easier to find the right contact person.
